Music 3.0 – Leveraging the Web's Potential. Which online services musicians and artists can use to connect to their audiences and promote their music?

The new technologies and the internet have changed the way music is made and distributed. Collaborative aspects of Web 2.0 made it possible for the musicians to get direct access to their audience and distribute their music much easier.

With the advent of new web technologies, commonly referred to as Web 3.0, another major shift is expected. Web 3.0 is not only about collaboration, it's also about recommendation, it's about more advanced technologies, and new hardware that expands the possibilities of software.

It's not enough anymore to create CDs or distribute MP3 to make a living. Music is not a commodity anymore, it's an experience. How can we conceive of music as an experience, as an event, and harness its full potential using Web 3.0 technologies?
