What is CUE? On the surface, it’s kind of an open improv night where people come and play together. But on a deeper level it offers much more. While most events do everything possible to be “successful”, CUE leaves it to the audience to make something out of it. That means that it leaves a space for failure, weirdness, fun, boredom, party, creativity – and anything else the people bring in. That’s why they sometimes call it “anti-event”, a kind of accidental meeting with no expectations and no commitments, a sort of arrangement to pass by at a certain time in a certain place and see what happens.

CUE organizes regular events in Berlin, Madrid, Palermo, Valencia, Barcelona, Riga, Rotterdam and other cities. Check out their site for more info: http://www.cue-ifyouneed.org

Similar approach to organizing events, both give a lot of space to chance and let it happen there and then, with the help from the audience and performers. PLAYBerlin however puts more emphasis on blending curated content with improvisation, while CUE is a purely improvised event.
